Sediment Trap

Sediment trap - SSF 41

Sediment Traps are used do investigate the vertical flux of particles in a water column. Integrated in moorings they catch sinking particles over the funnel and then collect them in sample bottles.

Sediment Trap K/MT 234 has 41 sample bottles that – attached to a collection turntable – collect particles coming through the funnel's orifice after a pre-programmed timetable.
